Kita bisa melihat Chris Martin sang pentolan bersama Selena Gomez sedang berusaha meraih satu sama lain. Kali ini, Coldplay masih menggandeng Dave Meyers, yaitu sutradara yang sebelumnya mengerjakan video single "Higher Power" dan "My Universe". Coldplay memang merasa bahwa Selena Gomez cocok menjadi kolaborator mereka di lagu "Let Somebody Go". "It’s just a really lovely ballad. And quite early on we realised it needed a female counterpart to the vocal.
